Bart Van Der Schueren studied Mechanical Engineering at the KU Leuven. After graduation he took the position of liaison engineer between the freshly founded company Materialise and the mechanical engineering department of the KU Leuven. Bart joined Materialise in 1995, having obtained a PhD in Metal Selective Laser Sintering. Over the years, his dedication has overseen the growth of Materialise’s service bureau into one of Europe’s most prominent Additive Manufacturing facilities. Today, as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Bart focuses on defining and executing the technology road map of Materialise.
