Roger Christian started his robotics career at Bendix Robotics in 1982 as a Mechanical Engineer and since 1989 has spent 35 years working for Yaskawa America Inc., Motoman Robotics Div. https://www.motoman.com. His current role as Divisional Leader of New Business Development is to recommend focused strategic investment, product development, partnering with Advanced Robotics Technology companies to insure Yaskawa’s mid and long-term growth, by studying broad market needs, technology, and trends to recommend commercial strategies for the company.
Roger currently serves on the Technology Advisory Committee for the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute (http://arminstitute.org/) is an active member of the ROS Industrial Consortium (https://rosindustrial.org/) and leads his division’s participation in Yaskawa’s Venture Capital fund.
