Paul Wagner is the General Manager of Precision Solutions by Hyperion, the precision wear components business of Hyperion Materials and Technologies. The Precision Solutions business is focused on providing custom components for applications where the wear or thermal properties of tungsten carbide, ceramic, or diamond are required for component longevity. In addition to traditional manufacturing techniques the Precision Solutions Team is focused on providing customer value through additive technology specifically in tungsten carbide. Paul and his team are using binder jetting and extrusion technologies to provide technical solutions that would not be possible with traditional pressing and finishing technology in tungsten carbide. Paul is involved in driving the commercialization strategy focused on value creation as well as developing a production strategy which integrates additive technology with traditional techniques.
Prior to leading the Precision Solutions business Paul was involved with the diamond and carbide powder businesses within Hyperion and has over 15 years of engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and strategy experience in a variety of different industries. Paul holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
