As Head of Technology Management AM, Helge is responsible for technology scouting in the AM corporate unit of Deutsche Bahn, Europe’s largest railway company. His passion for additive manufacturing was already awakened during his studies of transportation engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, during which he was able to get several publications in the AM field. After finishing with a Master’s degree in Engineering, he found his professional entry into the AM sector as a project manager for technology and sustainability at the industry network MGA, where he led international working groups and helped shape the development of the network. Since his transition to the AM unit of Deutsche Bahn, he has been responsible for the engineering and implementation of numerous AM components and, with his knowledge as a technology manager, ensures that Deutsche Bahn will continue to play a leading role among AM users in the mobility sector in the future.
