Aamir maps his career using the periodic table, starting with adventures blowing up hydrocarbons, fluorescing rare earths and more recently melting refractories like Tantalum. He has over 10 years of experience with new business development and technology innovation. He is responsible for leading projects related to materials development for AM application and combustion syntheses of nanomaterials.
He has developed and implemented processes for a pilot scale reactor for synthesis of high-value materials related to electronic, medical and aerospace industries. He is passionate about taking cutting-edge technology from ideation to production and scale.
He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, he holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from University of Southern California and completed a post-doctorate appointment in advanced inorganic and bio materials at University of California – Davis.
